1,809 words!
First: *shakes fist at weird slow internet*
Second: I am officially on the NaNoWriMo board, with a grand total of 1,809 words that were rather forcefully expelled from my fingertips very late last night. My goal was 2,000 words per day, and I am pleased to have gotten fairly close to that. If I purge myself of 2,200 words today, I'll be back on track. If I still intend to make it to 50,000 I'd have to manage nearly 4,000 words per day from now until the 30th, and I think that may be a level of crazy I'm just not able to achieve at this point, but if I can get halfway there, to 25,000 words, I think I'd be able to live with myself.
Third: It's...ORIGINAL FIC!! I bit the bullet and decided to make my NaNo project something not-fanfic. Mostly. It's kinda got zombies in it, but I'm making up my own mythos and rules about it, so I think I'm good. And I've got a ton of characters and several supposedly-interconnecting storylines to work with to help keep writer's block at bay. Woot!
