April Fools
The entire campus was put into a lockdown around 11:00 am today because a pair of guys got into a fight and the loser apparently called the cops on the winner. We were all trapped in whatever building we happened to be in while cops scoured the campus looking for the dude. They put out a bulletin asking for any information on his whereabouts (which makes me wonder why they needed to imprison EVERYBODY in the first place, since the guy had only threatened the one he was fighting with). They didn't lift the lockdown until 1:00 pm. Which meant that I got to miss my entire window for eating lunch (which ended up being a bottle of tea and a candy bar), but, joy of joys, I DIDN'T MISS A SINGLE MINUTE OF CLASS. *headdesk*
(And that's after spending the entire first hour of the lockdown brewing a fierce case of paranoia because they wouldn't tell us what it was for. The mass text-message alert system merely said there was an emergency and everyone was remain indoors, with windows and doors locked until further notice. No details. Gee, that's no cause for panic AT ALL.)
