Ah, thought you might've been meaning her, but I wasn't sure if I'd missed something :o) I don't think there is meant to be any significant connection.

There has to be! There should be! This is the same universe that creates shows with season-long arcs about bad wolves and prime ministers. I refuse to believe it's just coincidence or Rusty being silly.

But if it is, then that's a crying shame, because there's potential for a fascinating story arc there.

Perhaps it'll come out in the next series finale - since everyone and their dog (literally) is rumoured to be popping out of the woodwork, perhaps the Torchwood lot will make an appearance while Rose is around, and there'll then be the opportunity for recognition (on Rose's part, anyway).

No idea what explanation they'd give, though. It's likely to be a controversial one, though, given the existing trend with these things.
