*Cue grumbling*  Annoying body!  What's wrong with you?

Weekend was busy, what with working Friday and today, and all the digging and hauling of dirt on Saturday.  Subsequently, my legs are quite sore.  Like, going "Ouch!" loudly every time I have to sit down and stand up again.  Also, I banged my shin on the wheelbarrow, and while it (surprisingly) didn't bruise, it's now a big, tender bump smack on the front of my leg.  So that's owwy too.   Then there's my neck / shoulder, which I'm really cross at, because I somehow managed to throw it out of whack by sneezing Saturday morning before I even got to the dig site, and it's still stiff and tender.  (Stupid ligaments or whatever!)

And now, for no obvious reason, I'm all itchy.  There's this patch on my chin that's driving me nuts.  There's no rash or bump or anything, it's just this dumb patch of skin that's tingling and irritating me to high heavens.  My left wrist has started to get in on the act, too.  Since I've also been sneezing a lot today, I'm suspecting some kind of mild allergy is behind this latest affront.  I've popped an antihistamine and smeared my chin with anti-itch cream, so hopefully at least I'll be able to sleep.

Sheesh!  It's been awhile since I've had any significant physical issues, so I guess this is just my body making up for lost time.  : /

*end grumbling*

But digging on Saturday was tons of fun.  I found a piece of earthenware that my prof thinks might be Native American!  And I finally got a decent paycheck from my job, so that's happy.

And Stargate was on SciFi tonite (the movie).  Michael Shanks and James Spader are clones born ten years apart.  That's the only explanation.  And I don't care what IMDB says, that guy playing Ra is so totally a chick.  I looked, and saw no adam's apple.  That's all I'm saying.

Yeah. My university has been offering a field school (a class that's basically a dig site where you learn how to do archaeology) every fall for the past couple years, but due to other commitments I've never been able to take it. This was a volunteer dig we were invited to do at one of the oldest buildings in the county that's getting some renovation work done. It was great!
