Dream Log: In typical fashion, my recent "Heroes" binge has gone to my head.

I had a dream that I came over to visit Micah (the cute little kid from "Heroes" that could talk to machines) because his mom had just died and his dad hadn't come out of his bedroom in days.  I found Micah's dad lounging dismally in bed (it wasn't D.L. from the show), and talked to him, with Micah at my side.  Micah's dad revealed that he was depressed because he had no money and now that his wife was dead, life seemed hopeless.  I suggested that he could file some paperwork to get a "deceased spouse compensation" that might help things, and he sat up and agreed that he would be willing to do that.

Leaving Micah at home, his dad I went to an office so I could get the appropriate paperwork.  I spent some time going through a large supply closet, and while I found all kinds of forms and paperwork (including educational worksheets about beekeeping and dogs), I couldn't find the deceased spouse compensation forms.  This frustrated me, since I was worried about Micah's dad relapsing into his depressed state.  MIcah's dad made a call home, to tell Micah that we were still looking for the paperwork.  He put the phone on speaker, but instead of Micah answering, we heard Sylar.

"Micah can't come to the phone right now, but if you'll leave your name and a short message, he'll get back to you," Sylar said, in a sinister, screwball tone that freaked me out.  Micah's dad immediately hung up the phone.  "Micah's dead!" he declared.  Don't jump to conclusions, we don't know that, I thought to myself.  Micha's dad's fatalistic attitude was starting to annoy me.

I went back to the house (on my own, I guess) ostensibly to save Micah.  Instead, I ended up desperately looking for somewhere to hide, because now Sylar was looking for me.  I was backed into the bedroom, and forced to decide between hiding in the closet or hiding under the bed, knowing both options sucked.  I decided to hide under the bed.  It was a big bed, fortunately, and I spent some time arranging shoe boxes around myself, hoping to conceal myself as much as possible.  As I did so, it suddenly struck me that I was acting irrationally.  Sylar can't kill me, I realized, remembering that he'd apparently attacked me once before and had already gotten whatever it was he wanted from me.  I'm just stalling.  But I didn't want to go through it again, so I continued to fortify my hiding place.

Just then, one of my college friends walked into the room and immediately looked under the bed.  "Oh, hey!  What're you doing under here?" she asked cheerfully.  I started to panic a little.  "Get out!  You'll lead Sylar right to me!" I hissed.  (Some friend I am, eh?)  In fact, looking past her, I saw a pair of legs approach the bedroom door, and I knew it was Sylar.

Then...my alarm went off and I woke up.
